Cowboys again facing fine over number of suspended players

In fact, for the second season in a row, the Cowboys are facing being fined by the NFL because of the number of suspended players they have.

ESPN.com reported that the NFL is finalizing its so-called remittance policy for 2017, but the Cowboys have three players suspended — DE Damontre Moore, DL David Irving and since-released WR Shaq Evans.

The team announced Tuesday that Reed visited a toe specialist in Charlotte, and there is no timetable for his return.

Reed has missed 18 games during his four NFL seasons. He also has 248 receptions for 2,602 yards and 20 touchdowns, including 11 touchdowns in 2015 alone. But his injury history is troubling.

Drafting a tight end in fantasy drafts can be tricky. Reed and Rob Gronkowski are two of the biggest names at the position, but they are also among the most unreliable in terms injury.

Despite his latest injury, Reed could still be an intriguing pick, especially if the toe injury drops him in drafts. With Pierre Garcon and DeSean Jackson out of town, Reed will likely be relied upon in the red zone by quarterback Kirk Cousins.
